Quote: NOTE:: as most silver items go I choose to not clean them ahead of time because there are those who prefer to clean things there own way. Chock full of laughs. And sigh... apparently no one understands the difference between 'there' and 'their' anymore. (Don't get me started on possessives and apostrophes...)

My kweschin is why he has 100% positive feedback with over 3000 responses, and can sell a coin like this. I didn't check to see if they were all from selling or not..

In his defense, he's primarily a jewelry seller who occasionally gets coins in his shop, or whatever. The amusement posted here seems to be his boilerplate copy for coin auctions. I saw a couple of silver dollar lots in his Feedback that I'd have definitely considered at the price they went for.

On the other hand, I have gotten some good deals by people who didn't know what they had like the 1834 " Wheat penny" or 1905 V nickel that came with a "1834 cent" that graded VF. In this situation, the person thinks they got something worth more than it actually is and the coin will not sell.

I see a lot of people talk about Buffaloes and V nickels (if they are even aware of V nickels) as being silver, same as they talk about the Sacagawea dollar being made of gold. Most people probably aren't even aware of what a nickel is predominantly made of (probably not even aware of what nickel is as well). I remember dividing my coins up into the silver coins and pennies back when I was a wee child of three, but I was three. I was classifying by color. It wouldn't surprise me if people thought the color and the metal were the same in all our coins.

Note the "wink" after the "to" Gyrene? I misspelled it on purpose too.
