My first thought was M 33.7-r.2
Not definitively sure...I'm still questioning the reverse.
What are your thoughts p?
These dug coppers can be quite the challenge

I see what you mean. Those colons on the reverse don't look right. And I think you need to keep looking for an obverse with a lower C, that touches the bust.

I have a once and twice through my Bowers book. What do you think about M 16.1 for the obverse?

16.1 is a "large letters" variety. The letter punches are very different from this, which is almost certainly a Jarvis and Co. Connecticut. See the five-pointed device on top of the head, to the left of the C? Same "cinquefoil" as was used on Jarvis' Fugios, and they aren't on Miller 16.1.

I see it now. I was going by the C and the O that looks tipped to the left. I will keep looking:)

I think I'm going with Miller 33.36-T.2. What do you say, v?

What strikes me into thinking you are correct is the relation of the C and O of CONNEC, and how the O is tilted and offset.
Another factor is the date and ETLIB which is right on.
I concur v!

For illustrative purposes, and to show why this variety is called "Skeleton Hand":

Thanks! Creepy, though, isn't she? Like Halloween on the Fourth of July!
