I am not able to receive all my forum mail and I don't understand why. The last 2 people that sent me email and that I didn't receive is ChristineM and scoutjim. Yet I am receiving mail from Gary and Metalman. I don't know what else I can do to fix this from my end. Is there anything from this end that may be causing the problem?

If you mean from the forum's end I'm afraid the answer is probably no. If the forum software was the issue you wouldn't get "some", it would more than likely be an all or nothing, since they all come from the same server IP and addy. I hate to ask but are you using AOL mail? There could have been words in those emails that AOL doesn't think you should see.

thingee, whether or not you have AOL or some other ISP or email provider, the cause is most likely a spamblocker which seems to be a fad among providers, albeit many/most ISP and email providers are woefully inept at programming these spamblockers (e.g., spamhaus, spamcop). I'd check first with your provider to determine if they in fact have a spamblocker online and, if they do, insist they remove it or change providers. Spamblockers are a bane on the email world since they don't take into account they are likely also blocking legitimate message (such as from banks, credit card companies, relatives sending mass mailings to family members) and, worse, don't give the recipient a chance to review the messages to determine for themselves if a message is spam (do they think we are stupid and incapable of determining for ourselves what is spam and what is not?).
As you might tell from my attitude toward spamblockers and incompetent technicians, I have little (read: NONE) use for spamblockers. They have caused me a LOT of grief, lost time, and frustration on email lists, forums (such as CCF, ham radio, and Scouting groups). And have personally cost me a lot of money and ill will when my email provider (mac.com) blocked my PayPal messages.
I would rather receive a thousand spam messages per day to review them for their own value than miss one important message such as happened in 2003 when a relative died and my message was blocked (an AOL message by RoadRunner). As a moderator of a number of groups, I have actually been successful in having an ISP remove their spamblocker as not being worth the time and money.
[/vented spleen, at least for now]

Jim, it all depends on the ISP or email provider. Some of the biggies with spamblockers such as Yahoo merely filter what their spamblocker declares as spam into separate folders. However, far too many providers' spamblockers merely block ("550 relay not permitted"; "550 <uvwxyz@cox.net> recipient rejected", "relaying denied from your location" and a dozen more spamblocker euphemisms) messages, dump them, and the intended recipient never knows that a message was sent to them and thus never given the chance to review their junk messages for legitimate email. I should mention there's a major difference between spam FILTERS and spam BLOCKERS. Spam filters such as yahoo.com and those with decent emailer clients such as Eudora permit review while spamblockers just block and delete such messages. It's the latter with which I have so many problems (and battles). Unfortunately, far, far too many providers do not know the difference. It is these with which I have so many problems as a large email volume moderator. I am nearly out of Composition-Four. Got any to spare?

Okay. I've been given good points from members here. I wll be calling my provider as soon as I can. They're not available 24/7 so I won't be able to check things out yet. Thanks everyone.

Thingee, I made a mistake on our private messages. To change your email address, go to Members (top of the page), login on your username, go to My Profile and change your address from there.
This is also for the benefit of other forum members who might be having the same issue. Address changes can be done from your end with no hassles nor assistance from the moderators.
