Hello,
Yesterday I bought the Nero coin, today I may buy the next 'must have' coin.

The problem is: its a pretty expensive coin!
Ive seen such coins in the same condition for even double the price I have to pay, but I'm not certain for 100procent..

What would you pay for tjis legion V coin? Imo the condition is very good!

I don't know as much as I should about this type, so I'm a little cautious with them too many fakes out there. I haven't had time to check the fake reports yet so I can't say if it's legit or not, I see some marks on the coin which IMO will cause the value to drop a bit. Is it being sold on ebay or through a dealer?

I checked the fake reports and didn't find anything so I would say the coin is real.

Eventually I've bought an other legionaire coin in the same condition. For a much better price.
(Photo is suggesting its cast because the seller cutted the picture of the coin out of the original photo)

These are interesting coins. made from slightly debased silver. There is evidence that the Roman populous knew these coins were not as good of silver as other contemporary coins, and therefore these were heavily circulated, and rarely hoarded. I read somewhere that these coins were circulated well into the reign of Trajan. They were then reissued "re-released" by Marcus Aurelius. (I think.)

These are great coins anyways you shake it with a history that is very much clearer than many other coins.
