Any opinions on if the older Sacagawea dollars will ever be worth anything? For instance I have a 2000-P in almost mint condition, yet it isn't worth much more than its face value of a dollar.

I could see 2002-2008 eventually gaining value due to their relatively-low mintage, but I don't see it for 2000 with 767 million minted.

I seriously doubt that a 2000P (or D) Sackie will someday command a premium that's outpaced inflation. OTOH, I have a few in pristine condition in 2 x 2 folders for my own personal collection.

As for the NIFC Sackies (mentioned by SsuperDdave), I'd save 'em.

Cheerios and Wounded Eagles, yes and already there. NIFC ones, probably. Anything else? Not really.

If the Red Book says 3 dollars then this is what a dealer will sell it for. But any 2000 Sac dollar is only worth face value. I get them in rolls occasionally. I spend them.

But you could probably buy them from him for $2. And $1 of that is basically what I call dealers nuisance charge. What he charges for the nuisance of stocking and inventory paperwork.

How about the satin finish Sac's (2005 - 2010), I feel they might have a premium.

There is the 2000-D Sac from the Millennium set. Only 75,000 of the burnished coins were produced.
