I just found this tonight and it is the first one of any size that I have found. Is this , for sure, a Cud? All opinions are appreciated, thanks!

Definitely a Cud. You can see the weak area on the back where the Cud is.

Are you searching bags or rolls? You have been finding a very ridiculous amount of goodies! Thats probably a $40 coin.

I have a bank next store to where I have worked for the last 22 years and I know the tellers pretty well. They let me know when they fill up a new $50.00 bag of cents and I go pick it up. They are really amazing about it. Also, I usually spend 2-3 hours searching coins each night in lieu of watching TV like I used to do. I love searching for these little beauties and I liken it to being handed 5,000 scratch-off lottery tickets each time I get a new bag. Also, and probably more important then putting in 15-20 hours a week, I have been extremely lucky...

Congrats, Sudz! Great find!

I'm still looking for my first one... but I doubt I'll find any. I search rolls only, and think it's highly unlikely that Cuds can be found in rolls.

Question: How do they fill up a bag? Is it loose change from local customers?

coinaki: if Sudz had not rescued this one from that bag it would have been rolled, boxed and shipped of to another (or perhaps even the same bank). I have found many in rolls.

Well that's good to know, DrDon. It raised my optimism a few notches.

Yes, it is lose change that customers cash in, usually for bills.
