Here is some interesting information I was briefed about from one of the people I talk to ocassionally at the BEP (Seems its going ro be a loooong time before we see that redesigned $2 bill)

BEP Submits Paper on Meaningful Access Plan

In June 2012, the Senate Committee on Appropriations issued Senate Report 112-177. This report directed BEP to provide a detailed plan, including a timeline, to develop, design, test, and print currency with accessibility features. Although the legislation accompanying the Senate Report was not enacted, given the high level of interest, and to enhance communication and openness, the BEP is submitting this white paper to the Treasury OIG and the Senate Committee on Appropriations. The paper may be viewed here.

Well considering it took 68 years for the first redesign of small size notes, 2020 doesn't sound too bad ;)

Saw towards the bottom of that link they were discussing currency readers for the visually impaired. That made me wonder if someday QR codes could be used for this purpose or tracking notes for some reason. I guess I just have weird thoughts lol

Yeah by that time, 10's will be the new 1's. :-)

The tens are already the new ones.

Yeah, jbuck. And the $1 bills/coins will be the new pennies. They're already the new dimes, from the 1070s according to the Dollar Coin Alliance.
Rest in Peace

Yep, and the hundreds spend just like the twenties did.
