Here's another lower-end coin I've tossed up on ebay, just to see how the market for such things are. I called it AG/G. A fair assessment, or wishful thinking?

I'd say more in the neighborhood of FR02/AG03

Oh Well .. I thought the obverse warranted G4, but I can see how the rim is just a little too flattened out.

The rim's wear gives it the grade of AG3 condition. If there was a little more detail it would garner a G-6 grade.

OK and thanks/ I amended my ebay listing to say AG in the addendum. I don't want to be known as someone who over-grades (like so many I've come across on ebay).

I don't think it warrants FR-02 -- there's too much detail surviving for that, especially on the reverse (shield lines, eagle eye, feathers).

the damage on the mirrors on the obverse warrants an AG details grade

"the damage on the mirrors on the obverse warrants an AG details grade"

I have to disagree there. The tolerance for digs and scratches increases as you move down from XF to PR. In the event I wasted the money to have this slabbed, it would probably read AG-03, but I don't think it would come back with a details grade.

No detailed, classic AG3 grade.

AG3 Pristine2 is right on the money I think.
