1964 50c - Marf?

So I was just running over this coin looking for die clashes and noticed that the last word of the motto appears to be MARF instead of MARE. This is an 1964 50c ICCS MS64 Cameo. I pulled out a few other 64's and 65's (that's dates AND grades) and they all appeared similar. Some had faint traces of the bottom bar of the E but all appeared to be F at first glance. Just wondering how common this was or if anyone knew why it occurred? Thanks!

Hi kuh_85, I just looked at a bunch of mine and they show the same thing.... have never noticed that before.
