"I went to the coinshop to pick up a few mylar flips and his price on the eagle sets is ridiculous! he wanted $1,200 for one. I am like "ok" and almly walked out LOL"
When someone asks a ridiculous price they really don't want to sell it. If someone walks in and agrees to pay that ridiculous price it not a crime, it's stupidly. I think everyone who was lucky enough to get on the Mint website and only bought one set is kicking themselves these days. Those of us that opened our sets are kicking ourselves even harder.

Don't be too hard on yourself Shooter. I have one of the sets and they're nice - but that's all. If I missed it I would still be happy with my collection of silver eagles. There are plenty of things we all miss out on, but there are always new opportunities coming up.

I consider myself lucky that I was able to get the one set I have CoffeeBuzz. Had I not bought the Buffalo Gold coins last year I would have bought more of the Anniversary Silver Sets. Like everyone else I have more wants than I do cash.

It looks like the prices are going back up. The past few days I was worried as they went down but they are approaching the $600 mark again.

The more I see/hear about them, the more tempted I am to buy them. I just can't justify spending close to $600 for them. Maybe they're go down a bit when all the hype is done? Eh, I don't think so. I think I might try to pick up an 2006-W instead.

June 13th for the 2007-W silver Eagle, June/July for the platinum Eagles, and the gold W Eagles are already available. The downside is the fact that the 2007s almost certainly will not achieve the prices that the 2006s are commanding now since the 2006s weren't even available until Sept/Oct last year.

We'll have to wait and see about the 2007 W's. No, they won't equal the 06W's but you gotta realize that the mint is a very busy place. They need to start making the 08 bullion pretty soon so I can't imagine them making to many 07W's. Mintage number will be interesting to see. I think they will make about 500,000 of the 07 and certainly not many more than that with all the time and labor it takes to package each one by hand and sell them one by one. You might be surprised. It might only be a mintage of 300,000. Remember that 270,00o of the 07s were mass delivered in the anniversay sets. They only hand packaged 210,000 of the 06Ws last year and look at how long THAT took. It will be interesting to see ..thats for sure.

Teebo: I believe the number is 470,000 across all offerings.
When the 07Ws are available, I plan on getting 5.
