Hi Everyone! I have found what I believe to be an extra eyelash on the obverse of the new Adams Presidential dollar. I would like to know if anyone here would be able to identify a possible cause. The area in question looks like a mirror image of the eyelash which extends beyond the edge of Adams face. On the 'bottom' of the mark it looks like possible die polishing as it is smooth and shiny. On the 'top' there is a slight recess which looks as though it is part of the design. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't know that I would call it an eyelash. it is too low for an eyelash. I can't think of anything on it but it is more than likely a crack or gouge. but that's only my view. is it a Philly of Denver ?.
if D I can look at mine and see what I can see under the scope.

Hi Gary, Thanks for the response. It is a D dollar. Hope that helps. If I can get a better picture, I'll post it. Goose
