Recently picked up this one. How do you think it would grade?

I,m still learning, and gold seems harder than other coins for me to try and grade. I,m thinking in the AU range.

I have Always loved this coin

IMO I'd say XF48 solely on the fact that there are so many bag marks and dings on the obverse and reverse. It looks like this coin might have gone thru some shaking.

I like it, please remember I know nothing about this series and just going by gut feeling on this one (I don't even have this coin for my dansco7070 yet), with all that being said I would say this one is about a MS-61 but as I said I would definately wait for other replies from people with some knowledge of the series before I went cashing in my fortune

Grace, I agree, there is some bag chatter. It just seems that a lot of outstanding gold coins tend to have some when compared to non gold coins. Guess because they are so soft. Curious as to how this really effects the coin. I am thinking about sending it out for grading.

If they grade it then it probably comes back MS 62

I'm thinking AU55, the eagle's shoulders and head being my main focus points.
