I'm just starting CRH pennies and I'm almost through my first 50 rolls. I'm starting a spreadsheet to catalog and track all my finds, and I'd like to include relative value as well. This hobby is designed to be completely free, so buying a book is not currently an option. I've found http://www. (207) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed .com to be very comprehensive and detailed, but the values seem to be a bit high. I was hoping some of the experts could weigh in on that observation as well as recommend another free site for relatively realistic values. Thanks in advance guys! I've already found some cool stuff that I'm going to be sharing once I hit 50 rolls.

Oops, it looks like my link was deleted. I'm assuming because the site auto detected it as spam? Sorry... If it's allowable I'll post again once the mods weigh in.
I also realized this is probably in the wrong forum.. my apologies.

That looks fairly comprehensive but it doesn't seem to have any error or variety values, or am I missing it? USA Coin Book is what I was trying to link to earlier.

What denomination of coin are you collecting?

Pennies exclusively, for now. There are so many varities and errors that it makes it very fun to search the rolls and also gauge the value of my finds, even if it's only .03.
Has anybody ever checked out usa coinbook? It's the most comprehensive price guide I've found but it does seem a bit high compared to others I've looked at. Thanks in advance.

No, you didn't miss anything, but you also didn't state in the original post that you were looking for those. No varieties or error values are listed there. Since you said you didn't want to buy any books, I would suggest you look on E-Bay for the varieties or errors you seek and see what they're selling for there. That should give you some idea of what they're worth...

Coppercoins.com has a ton of varieties listed with pics and values in almost all grades. John Wexler's site, doubleddies.com, also has a ton of varieties with pics and a few values listed. These two sites are awesome, must visit sites for the Lincoln Cent variety collector.

My website, coppercoins.com, will eventually have good, accurate pricing, but for now the values listed are for the most part inaccurate. Instead of changing the code I do have, I am rewriting the site from scratch, and will have much more accurate regularly updated pricing then. (Probably 2-3 months from now, if not a little more.)
