The RCMP cracked the operation in 2005. One may find 2004 and 2005 dated fakes but no 2006.

If someone has a 2006 PLEASE send it to the RCMP for investigation - this may be a "mint" other than the Montreal.

I would suggest all to study the exceptional pictures to learn to recognize this criminal forgery
Rest in Peace

Funny to hear an earlier poster making reference to Tims making criminals. I checked change that I am almost certain came from a TH today. I had this in it. What do you think of this pic of a 2005 toonie? Is it one of the 'special' ones?

Hard to tell with the photo, it actually looks normal.... put it side by side with a normal twoonie prior to 2012. If it is not real, the ring will look different (colour and texture) from a normal nickel ring.

About 25% thinner and whiter in color on the edge. 7.27 grams. I have added a couple of other pics as well. To me it looks much different at the edges. I assume that the edges are not nickel as they seem to show much wear but I am no expert.
I won't spend it anyway. I was more curious than anything else.
Thanks,
Dave
