I cannot tell from that image. It is imporperly lit and over digitized to see enough detail to make any determination.

I would ask Phoenix21. I know he collects these. He might be able to post some pictures as examples to compare with your own.

Unless Phoenix21 collects only the 1959d and focuses his attention on that coin alone, I would have to say that Chuck's request for a better image would probably be needed regardless.

Moonshine, have you checked coppercoins' website and searched for that year and mintmark? His photos are tremendous, and it may help you compare as Grace has mentioned.
