Hi folks,

I found this in the wild. Please check them out and let me know if I need to keep them or spend them.

Thanks a bunch.

I believe the first two are two digit repeaters, OK to keep. I don't think the last one is anything special, OK to give to wife, or spend if no wife.

I would spend all three the first isn't a true radar and the others arnt anything special, but that's just my 2 cents.

The first one isn't a RADAR, but a 'bookend'. It's when the first and last few digits of the number are the same. I don't think the others are special, but they are nice to look at.

Here's a site for the bookend and other special serial numbers, it's near the bottom,

Thank all. I am planning to keep 1st and 2nd. I might set the third one back to the wild. Actually, I got these from the wife. :). She said she got more similar coming.

Yes the first is a bookend as Joseph pointed out, in addition to being a repeater, a definite keeper. Since the wife is getting you more notes, she's a keeper also. Keep the second note as a repeater.

dinhjames: Really only the first $20 note is special: however if the last four serial numbers read "9744" then it would be a RADAR note -- ah put for the 9-7 switch it would be. If it were mine and I were listing it on ebay or USA Coin Book I would call it a "Near RADAR Note" and I would spell out in the description why it ALMOST is the real thing. Somebody out there would buy this cause its a neat serial number.

The first is close to a radar.. but it really only quantifies as a bookend...
(not much in terms of value for bookends)

The second and third don't have any title... they are not ladders, repeaters, radars or anything else.

IMHO... spend all three
