On the first one, does it look cleaned, altered photo or anything to you? It's raw. It's raw. Here's a message I sent and his reply.

Me: "Hello, do you offer a return policy? Also, do you offer a guarantee that the coin is authentic, and problem free ie. cleaning, scratched, etc?"
Him: "i sure do the coin you recive will be the same one pictured , check feedback"

The second one was graded VF-35 by PCGS. You guys notice the gash on the back of the buffalo? I can't imagine PCGS would have missed it, so what you're opinion on it?

If he doesn't know what a cleaned coin means and doesn't understand the significance of the question I personally would have no dealings with the seller.

For the 2nd coin what's his offering price? That large gouge kinda distracts from having a nice coin.

The current bid is pretty low, but usually that jumps up near close of auction.

On one hand if I can get it for really cheap, it IS a PCGS certified coin.

On the other hand I already had buyers remorse when I picked up a beautiful 3 Leg with a Lamination. Depending on how that gouge looks in hand it might be a distraction.

So I'm kind of torn whether or not to post a bid at typical Fine market prices, or just leave it alone all together.

The first one definitely looks cleaned. The nick on the buffalos back doesn't bother me at all, but by my grading standards the coin is a F-15, VF-20 at best. There is no way I would call it a 35 coin. Of course I wouldn't be interested in it at anywhere over a couple dollars because I don't see any reason to chase this coin just because it is a late die stage. I do collect die varieties on early coins but even on them I don't chase die stages.
