I was wondering, will the US Mint be making Golden Clinton dollar coins in the distant future? And will the presidents wife dollar coins feature Monica or Hilary?

Well, if Bill, and even perhaps Hillary herself, are dead two years before the program runs out, then (t)he(y) will be on them. Hillary, of course was the First Lady, and under a Hillary presidency, I guess Bill would be First Gentleman.

That's right. 2 coins for both Bill and Hillary. One for President, one for First Lady/Gentleman.
Clinton isn't the first President to cheat on his wife. He's just the first that became a media spectacle.

Clinton definitely wasn't the first. It goes back to Warren G. Harding, and before. On the topic of Presidential dollars, I wish it would be an on-going series, rather than stopping abruptly in 2012 or whenever they figure the last eligible President would be pictured on the dollar. Why not just mint a new one as past Presidents become eligible?

Beautiful photo and coin, I don't remember the visit. Did Clinton's visit help with the relief of the earthquake?

There was a serious help from all around the world after the '99 earthquake. Clinton's visit was a great moral support and I believe there was some economical support as well. I don't remember the exact details.

Actually, probably not. When you consider how much a visit from the President disrupts things here, I would imagine a visit into a disaster area results in an even larger security force and probably a huge disruption in rescue and aid efforts in any area he visits.

Well, the earthquake took place on August 17th. Mr Clinton's visit was Nov 15 to 20th. All the search and rescue process was over.
And as far as I remember, he was walking among ordinary people living in tents, maybe that was just what we saw on TV, but that's why he is probably the favourite U.S. president here.
