Hello,

I am posting pics (sorry new at pics too) of a 1958 Lincoln Cent I would like to get feedback on if its a possible DDO. I'm a big girl and can take bad news and am just starting to study coins so I am very preschool. Thanks for any help. I will not make any crazy arguments back...promise!

Would you be able to provide a closer picture of the word "TRUST" please? There is a light spread on the TR & you of trust in the 1958-1DO-001 which can't be seen in your full obverse pic. Also a pic of the reverse might be helpful in looking for markers. If you wish to look at photos of a 1958-P 1DO-001, here is a link;

1st to coin forum!
The key to help with members here are good photos. Markers for die varieties can be both on obverse and reverse of a coin. Members here magnify good quality photos, and look for markers of the variety you think you might have.
I use a microscope camera for close ups, but not needed if photos submitted show enough.

to our family.

It would be easier to give opinions if we know what exactly your asking us to verify.

Thank you for the welcome. I have enjoyed the coins I've inherited over the past years so much so that over the last couple of weeks I started cherry picking my husbands change jar

Sorry it took me so long to reply. Currently I am taking pictures with my cell phone and magnifier. I know pictures are hard enough to diagnose and then the pics are not so good.

I was reviewing errors and varieties when I came across the 1958 penny and didn't know if more experienced numismatists could comment based on not so great pictures whether if it was worth exploring the possibility the coin is a DDO.

Thanks again for taking the time. I am already thinking of more questions to ask. I am watching videos and reading lots just wish I had someone to visualize with me and agree or disagree. My husband just isn't into it

I just read an article from Ken Potter that said the 1958 was basically like the 1969. Very confusing and rarely does anyone have it....
It's all good. Haven't lost my desire to keep on stacking!!
Thank you everyone!
