I am considering getting a dino lite and a stand to go along with it. Which type of stand would be better for coin photography a rigid or articulating stand?
Any advice/ comments on either type are welcomed and appreciated.

I checked out the Dinolite web site. IMHO an articulated stand is just asking for frustration as it is more likely to shake. Looking at the site I thought this would be a stable stand:

I have a USB microscope but as I have learned how to use my camera I have found the USB microscope less and less used. If any one has a DSLR( or equivalent) they may well find this a better option than a USB microscope:

I have my eye on a raynox MSM505

Lighthouse makes a nice sturdy stand and you can finely adjust your focus with it.
