Tokens rather than coins I think.
Larger one 23mm diameter and less than 1g, very thin.
Smaller one 13mm diameter, no weight again.
Both gold coloured.

Any ideas what they might be ?

Cheers
Brian.

Something we see almost every month. Search the forum under "Imitation Ottoman".
They are sometimes called Belly Dancers coins and are used as decoration. Proper name, Spangles.

Yep, they're jewellery imitation Ottoman coins. The one on the left imitates a Turkish gold coin from the 1800s, though the design and lettering are cruder than the original; in particular, the date "1223/78" is impossible, being a blundering of "1223/28" appearing on some original coins. Here's an older thread with one.

The one on the right is even cruder, with the Ottoman sultan's toughra (ornate signature) reduced to just a few disconnected squiggles. The star design on the other side does not really resemble any genuine Ottoman coin. We've seen this one on the forum before, too.
