Hello:

I am currently "starting" to collect graded Roosevelt dimes. I actually have the silver dimes from 1949 to 1964. What I am looking for is the best way to get "modern" Roosevelt clads that have been graded by either NGC or PCGS (1965 to present). I've looked on ebay...and not alot there except for the rare or more pricier. I realize spending more money to get the coin graded than what the coin actually costs may not always be the cheapest way.

Are there places to look for these modern Roosevelt clad coins that have been graded? Am I just better off searching for the best coins myself and sending them in, hoping for the best?

Right now I am looking at MS66...although if cheap enough, I will go higher.

I greatly appreciate any help...Need direction on best path forward.

Thanks, and have a great week!

many online dealers sell graded coins. To name a few:

Ebays going to be one of your better bets to find them. They wont always be there but if you keep an eye out they pop up from time to time for the more modern ones.

For ebay, be patient and wait for the good deals. Either someone will list one for a decent buy-it-now price so you can grab it, or just filter the search for ending soonest and snag one for a low cost. I have won many auctions for my Lincoln cents and Commemorative half dollars doing just that, and paid less than the going rate for a lot of them.

I'd go with ebay and when you find a seller see what else they have. Thats what I'd do.
