I just reserved this 3CN and wanted to see what the CCF members had to say about it in comparison to PCGS. I realize that the photo is kinda small, but it's what I have to work with.

Thank you for your interest!

Not the best photos but my guess would be MS-64 on this on. Looks like a great coin.

The reverse says "Proof!" The obverse says, "I couldn't care less what you think." MS64, maybe slightly misaligned dies given the weakness of the bottom of the reverse rim.

I'm going to be conservative and say 63. There looks like a couple of small bag marks are on the cheek. This series often gets punished for small marks. Awesome coin by the way!

I'm more concerned with all the hairlines on the reverse. I'm going to say PCGS slabbed this at MS63

I'm not sure what it would grade but I do know I can't wait to see what the "anomaly" is. It cant be just a vanilla coin, it has to have a kicker to be worthy of your 7070 collection, right?

I compared the RPD above with the PCGS 1881 3CN RPD FS-301 (FS-006.8) below, but the images don't match up. I wonder if it would attributed as such? Other than the extra tip of the second "1" I really don't see anything spectacular about the PCGS Plate coin, but it does have some cool Longacre doubling, definitely not the same die. Kinda cool nevertheless.

Your coin looks closer to the RPD001 in Fletcher & Flynn's Authoritive Three Cent Nickel book, though they don't show the repunching on the first 1 your's shows. Maybe due to the fact your piece is much higher grade than the one photographed in the book. Defintely not the RPD FS-301 (FS-006.8).
