Any Numismatic Value To A 1964 Bermuda Silver Crown?

barryg Pillar of the Community United States 5823 Posts	Posted 07/29/2013 4:08 pm So I was at an antique mall the other day and picked up a rather grungy-looking 1964 Bermuda Silver Crown for around $15. I knew it was silver and it was larger than a U.S. half dollar, so I figured the price wasn't too bad. Of course, when I got home and did a little research, I discovered that these are only 50% silver and therefor only has about .36 ounce of silver in them. Ah well, live and learn... Anyway, I was wondering whether these actually have any numismatic value apart from their silver content? If not, I foresee a little dip in this coin's immediate future since I prefer my bullion to be clean and shiny. commems CCF Master Historian of USA Commemoratives United States 12252 Posts	Posted 07/29/2013 5:43 pm I would say that you paid about what it generally sells for on ebay and other such sites (assuming it's not too grungy!). As it contains about $7 worth of silver, it appears its "numismatic value" is about $8.00. ($7 + $8 = $15) Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. All rights reserved.
