So I was at an antique mall the other day and picked up a rather grungy-looking 1964 Bermuda Silver Crown for around $15. I knew it was silver and it was larger than a U.S. half dollar, so I figured the price wasn't too bad.

Of course, when I got home and did a little research, I discovered that these are only 50% silver and therefor only has about .36 ounce of silver in them. Ah well, live and learn...

Anyway, I was wondering whether these actually have any numismatic value apart from their silver content? If not, I foresee a little dip in this coin's immediate future since I prefer my bullion to be clean and shiny.

I would say that you paid about what it generally sells for on ebay and other such sites (assuming it's not too grungy!). As it contains about $7 worth of silver, it appears its "numismatic value" is about $8.00. ($7 + $8 = $15)

Agreed. Here's the NGC database page with the Krause catalogue values.

Someone told me on here that there are copper crowns from 1964 Bermuda, and that they are not listed in Krause. I'm still not sure wich one is mine or even is it real.

Thanks for the information, guys! Nice to know I didn't horribly overpay for it after all. Seeing as how it apparently has some numismatic value, I guess I won't be dipping it.
