Hey guys
Can someone please help me differentiate the 2 I'm a bit confused.
As far as I understand the German planchet is a bit more dull, but how can you tell if its circulated ? Coins and Canada only confused me more. lol

Thanks guys.. On coins and Canada it points out the inner and outer rims. Why is that? Is that another way to tell?

Our very own CCF member t_y has written a paper on this exact topic... (I reviewed the article for him, more than a year ago!!).... now, if he would only submit it to the CN Journal, like he promised....

I have an MS-64 and MS-65 examples. And when I look side by side with regular, I can definitely see the difference. But, I doubt I could pick them out without the regular one to which to compare.

I don't sell on ebay -I am a collector. Also, I do not identify planchets through photos.

I will be at the Toronto show - downtown library, the first weekend of October.

Sorry to hear that you don't sell or trade on ebay or privately
Do you know anyone that can be trusted in this matter?
I hear that CCCS at this point is the only company to recognize German planchet I have 11 toonies from 1996 from different sources I like to send them to find out if I have at least one German planchet what you think about this idea

I always attend 2 shows: NUPHILEX the biggest show in number of dealers (Montreal, twice a year) and Toronto Coin Expo, the best show in Canada (twice a year). Just google them for more info.

Years ago SPP and I put 25 pairs of twoonies together. Each set is signed by me. All coins are MS63. I kept 2 sets, I don't know if he still have some for sale. I would imagine these pairs can be trusted since I am the one who thought Louis Chevrier (CCCS) to recognize them. I also spoke with Brian (ICCS) but he preferred not to assign the origin of the planchets.

When you get to 50 posts, send me a personal message here through CCF, and I can sell you one of the signed sets. Don't pay $200 for a MS-63 coin on ebay... I can sell you a CCCS MS-64 for a much better price.
