My old eyes aren't what they used to be... I've tried to use the photos on coinsandcanada.com but I'm begging this great community to please let help me out with these nickels...

"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Here are the obverses. Sorry but my camera isn't very good and these coins found their way into some 2x2's for their own good so the pics aren't too clear. If you want better ones I can take em' out of the unisafes. I'm pretty excited about these little guys, I bought a baggy of 40 George V nickles for $25 and these three were in the bag. There were no 1925's...

That is an amazing find.

It would have taken a serious older collector 'forever' to find 3 far 6's.

Now if it was me,....

I would make a soapy warm bath using dish soap water and lightly rub those 3 with a soft old tooth brush to gently remove the grit from the details. They will not be damaged at all seeing as they are somewhat worn.

Flush completely with warm water.

Dry them well with a pressing of toilet tissue or Kleenex and a similar flush with alcohol and let completely dry.....

... and then off to a grading company for permanent protection.



If they were BU,..that would be a different story and I would never rub or touch them.

Just a great find........
