Yes, we need a reverse picture and clearer pictures make attribution easier. The late date large cents are sometimes very difficult to attribute because the markers are very minor in most cases and porosity can hide the markers and make attribution almost impossible in some cases.
There are 13 varieties but one is proof only. There are three basic styles - upright 55, slanted 55, and slanted 55/knob on ear. This looks like an upright date as are most of the varieties of this year.
It's difficult to make general guideline statements because perhaps you are getting this coin very inexpensively or maybe it's the max you can spend for an 1855 large cent.
In my opinion I see two red flags - a harsh cleaning and porosity. I wouldn't recommend buying this coin but maybe you have good reason as I mentioned earlier.
There are a lot of really nice 1855s that are not cleaned and not porous. This year is rather plentiful and does not command a premium in modest grades. Look at
ebay listings and Heritage for comparisons.
