cjspearsdog: It doesn't look like the 74D Major peg leg from the photo. I think I can see a slight serif on the bottom lower left part of the R. Can you post a close-up pic of the lower left part of the R. Maybe that's just a shadow I'm seeing and it is a true Peg-Leg. John1: Old site expired. Its now ikegroup.info. http://forum2.ikegroup.info/ucp.php...4e4577c85a91

Based on your last pic for the 74d, I do not think it is a valid peg leg.(IMHO!) For additional help, try the Ike Group.info or Tom Kalantsis http://www.ikedollardoubledie.com/v...ty-coins.phpYou might want to post your pics also on the Post an Ike thread here on the CCF.

There must be a very small niche market for this variety, because I don't get any responses on any of the forums that I posted. I did try IDDD's forum and got one response.

To me they appear to be more heavy die polishings.

So are the 1976-s proof peg leg ikes common? I belive I have one of each (Ag &CuNi) after comparing to th photos on the link provided above. I'm positive they are both Peg legs, no serifs at all on either. I cant make sense of the Pop and Values provided on that link as the numbers and letters overlap and run together on my phone. If you guys think they are worthy, I create a thread for each and try to get some good pics. To summarize, what is the Pop and Value of the 1976-S Ike peg leg types, both silver and coppernickel. Thanks for your help. Might have to finish my Ike set sooner than I thought, lol.
