1964-D-Half---Quadruple-Die

I actually think I know what I have for this one!! I am relatively sure that this is a quadruple die variation for the 1964-D Kennedy half dollar.

Since there is a triple die error variation, I was hoping for a quick confirmation of the variation.

I found three of these, and want to sell the other two on ebay. A confirmation would prevent a false advertisement. How much do you think this would go for? The coin should rate at least MS-62-63.

Thanks again!

I make this suggestion to you ,, If your pretty sure of what you have ,,send them to Anacs and have them authenticated and graded ,,

This is the one way where you can list them on ebay with all authority and not have the worry of falsely advertising the coins.

My references do not indicate a triple die for this coin ,but they do list the double die ,, I can tell you in My opinion ,,the letters appear to be legitimately doubled.. I cannot tell from the pics about a triple.

I have about 15 double dies for the same date, so I'll scan in a single, double, and this one tomorrow and repost them.

I was thinking of someone like Anacs, but haven't used their services yet. Would this be worth the cost of grading them?

Thanks!!!

Ah! Sweet. Just went to the ANACS site, and they'll be here in West Palm Beach, FL on July 12th. I'll just collect all these together and show up at the show!

This is a tripled die, and they are relatively common. Expect no more than a 20-25% premium for this coin because of its grade. It takes an MS66-67 for these to have much premium value.
