I found this coin, and I don't know much about it...where is it from? How old is it? What's the value? Thank you.

There is not a lot of details on it. Can you provide the dimensions, weight in Grams maximum diameter in mm?

Does the coin appear to be silver? Where did you find it?

The weight is 4.4 grams, and the diameter is .5 in (12.7 mm).

It was in with my grandfather's coins after he passed away, along with the Phokis coin (see my other post)

I believe it is silver.

Also, there is a $125 price tag on it....however I know there's NO WAY my grandfather paid that much for it.

I believe you are right. Persian siglos would make sense. It is a tad light but the years have not been kind to this piece. I can almost see the running king. Improved photos would help. I am almost sure you have it. These are very old coins, and a must have for any collection.

Is this a particularly rare coin? What is it worth?

These coins come in four variations relatively unchanged from about 550 BC until the conquest of Persia. Rare well that is relative. It's worth what someone would be willing to pay for it. I'd pay $40 for one that beat. I paid $100 for mine but tracked it for a year and worked out a deal I could have easily paid 2.5 times that amount and got a decent deal. You have a more common variation similar but later than mine. Google it!
