Information and rough value would be appreciated. In fairly good condition as you can see.

Italy, 2 Lire, 1863, with a 'T' mintmark, weight is 10grams .835 Silver

There is an 'N' mintmark also with the same design. 1863 is the only year this coin design was minted.

There appears to be 4 listings for this year, two with the standard shield design of the 2 Lire coin which was used in 1861,1862, 1863, and then there are two listings with your design coin 'T' 'N' mintmarks, used in 1863 only. These last two do not have mintages listed in my book.

The standard design 'T' has a mintage of 4,910,000 and is $7.50 Fine and $20 VF, $50 in XF

Your coin might have a lower mintage, or is more desirable as in is a different coin type only available in that year, because the value is higher in the better grades, $7.50 Fine and $25 VF, $100 in XF.

Of the 4 different coins made that year your is the most valued design.

Very interesting, thanks guys. What condition would you say it is? I know it's hard to go by photos but a rough idea?

Thanks

I'm liberal with foreign coins so I'd say XF40 IMHO

I'd tend toward VF myself.

Nice coin. I'd grade it VF.

I would say it's a VF, because letters are quite used at corners.
Apart from what toast said, I can only mention that my book lists 26$ VF and 110$ XF. 0.2893 oz ASW and "T" mintmark stands for Turin, (northern Italy).
Beside this, I love that coin!

Also for me it is a VF, about coins details have a look to site https://www.4quattrini.741.com it is a site I'm trying to keep some details about italian coins, about value, usually international evaluation like KM is a bit lower than its value on italian market.

Nice coin - but VF at the very best. To grade an Italian or any European coin EF you really need a LOT of mint luster remaining - not just between the letters. I also see at least 3 or 4 minor rim bumps. These would also tend to hold the coin to VF.
