I don't know of any but sometimes you need to wait for a member to come along that knows the answer or knows where to find the answer for you.

The Krause catalogue has a list of some of the larger Numismatic societies and associations from around the world. Unfortunately, it doesn't list any for Italy.

I did Google "Italian numismatic society" and it came up with this site: Società Numismatica Italiana, which is apparently based in Milan. Even if they aren't a "coin club" in the traditional sense, if you send them an e-mail they might be able to tell you what you need to know.

I have been living in Rome for the past 16 years and I believe that there are no coin clubs as such in Italy

I would have thought that a country that has given us more than 2 millennia worth of coin production would have at least one coin club. Angielczyk, I think you should start one. :)

We used to have a coin club here at FAO but there has been no interest in the last few years.

I am retiring in January and returning to Israel so no chance of starting a club here in Italy now.

Another option would be to search an Italian forum like http://www.lamoneta.it/ ... They even have a few "attached" clubs (circoli numismatici affiliati), e.g. in Bolzano and Torino. Or ask there about other coin clubs in the city/region you are interested in.

Hi guys,
there are several coins club in Italy, the best list I know is on the magazine "Cronaca Numismatica" you can find coins club in several cities in Italy, of course w/ different level of activities.
Also coins exposition w/ coins market are quite presents, often each week-end excluding holiday months (December, July and August), of course in different cities.
Some Web sites to vistit to get information are:
http://www.banconote.it/
http://ilmarengo.altervista.org/
http://www.lamoneta.it/
http://www.andreacavazza.com/homenuova.html
other ... smaller.
Also there are some stable coin markets, mainly in the big cities, I'm living in Milan, and each sunday morning there is (probably the biggest and oldest), it is situated in Via Arconari, close to Piazza Cordusio and Bank of Italy.

Bye, Antonio.
