While closer examining my 2 roubles from 1877 I found some differences in the strike of the coins.

For once the cross on the crown is fatter.

There are also other differences. Can you spot them :) ?

Is it a die variety ?

Rouble-1877-Die-Variety-?

Is it potentially more valuable ?

Does anyone know anything of another type of this coin ?

Here is mine, the mint master initials are HФ. There is HI as well, both from St Petersburg Mint.

HФ - Nicholai Follendorf
HI - Nichola Iossa

Both worth about the same for F/VF but HФ has slight edge for XF and better

1877 HI 6,923,000 35.00 70.00 150 350 400
1877 HФ Inc.above 35.00 70.00 180 425 500
