1917-S Buffalo In My Change....booyah.

I wonder how that happens...of course, I have been going through a lot of Buffalo nickels recently, both mine and someone else's (see the "Incredible Find" thread) and I have realized that many of mine have defects or are simply common date G-4s that really don't have much value. Before going to the States a few years ago I looked through my coin duplicates for any common current US spending money. Apart from the regular clad Roosevelt dimes, Washington quarters and recent-date Lincoln cents and Jefferson nickels, I found a worn, dateless Buffalo nickel. I took it with me and used it in the machine at Logan airport when I bought a subway ticket! That was long before I joined this Forum and discovered that dates on Buffalo nickels can be restored!
