Here is a coin I found not long ago while roll hunting. It is red and I think maybe MS61. Any ideas on a value range?

I agree with that estimate. Of course it will depend on how you sell it. Even many dated 50% off centers don't sell for much over this range. There are just too many out there for common date examples to increase in value.

Nice coin, I think you're being generous with the grade, but the pictures are a bit soft so that could be it. The value would depend on finding at least 3 buyers really interested in off-center coins and letting them bid against each other.

I found a slew of less off-center 2009 Native American dollars, I throw them up on ebay with a $4.99 starting bid and a $9.99 Buy It Now price and have sold most between 4.99 and $12.99 because once a bid is entered ebay removes the Buy it Now price. I had twelve and have sold 7, two were snapped-up at the Buy It Now price. There are also times they don't sell.

That's a cool roll find! I agree with the above estimates of value. I think it might be worth $5 on a good day.

3 things determine price of an off center coin.(% that it's off center)The more the better especially with the date of course.Eye appeal and condition. Then of course what year it is.Some years are more common than others and anything after 2003 will bring a nice premium. Here's one that ended a few days ago. It's the biggest premium I've ever seen paid on modern coinage for an off center.

That's not the only thing going on with this error, either.

I'm thinking this might be better as a subject for a new thread, but I'll go on.

Although it looks like it might be off center on an elliptically clipped planchet, the extended metal at k-12 and k-5 make me think otherwise. To me it looks like an elliptical strike clip. While this started off as an off center, I would not consider this final error an off center coin, but a completely different error type. If it is an elliptical strike clip, it is a true rarity being that it occurred with a shield cent. I might be wrong with this diagnosis, but it's still true that this isn't just an off center coin.

you'd sell it for $2 with those pictures but $5 with good pictures.
