Electronic Scale For Weighing Coins

And that if it claims to weigh to 0.01g it's likely to be accurate to +/- 0.03g which is fine since most times I just need to 1/10g. I've not been disappointed and when I've compared coins I've bought and that have been weighed by dealers or auction houses there's rarely more than 0.02g difference. Plenty accurate enough for my purposes and inexpensive, so it's what I recommend to friends too. Report this Post to the Staff
Valiamo Valued Member Canada 122 Posts	Posted 08/31/2013 9:38 pm One thing everyone should add to their list is a 25 and 50 gram weight. There are dozens on-line for dirt cheap, and it it gives you the confidence that your inexpensive weight scale is accurate. Several times I have used a picture of the 50gm weight, and then the weight of the coin to some in a distant country to give them the confidence that the coin actually weighed what I said it would. Also, look for 1 with a lid, and operates with batteries that you can easily replace. The 2032 batteries are expensive to replace every couple of months. I like the one posted that runs on AAA batteries, available everywhere. Report this Post to the Staff
