A show less than 200 miles from the border is for me a rare treat. Has anyone been to this one? Information is sparse beyond the CCN ad.

I have never been to that show, but I know a good number of dealers who attend that show. If anything, it would give you a good idea of what Canadian dealers typically carry at local coins shows, and shows like these tend to have the smaller dealers, whose inventory is not necessarily picked over, since they don't attend the larger shows.

Can't personally attest, but I've heard from others that it's a decent show.

As SPP says it is mainly smaller dealers but it has some of the bigger ones also. I make the trek every year as the show is pretty good and then the wife and I pub it on the way home.

Gee Paul.... but you don't come downtown to Coin Expo and 'pub it' with Mikey, Bill and the rest of the gang?

Roger, I HATE Toronto traffic, so in the last few years I have made it a policy not to go south of Highway 401. Miss you at the Brampton show. I am partial to a drink but that's my limit as forty years of anti-inflammatories have done a number.

Well, some folks south of the border, and western Canada, are making some noise about attending the next Coin Expo... maybe you will have to revisit that policy for extreme circumstances!!

I was there a few years back. I arrived at 9 when it opened and my first observations were that not all the bigger dealers were set up. After circling the floor, I noticed that those bigger dealers were picking upon the smaller dealers. First come first served. The show was full of selection but not very high end. The best penny was MS-63, so I ended up buying the 50cent,1947 maple leave straight and curved as well as some of the variety PL sets. All in all a great place to pick varieties.

If you really HATE the "Don Valley Parking Lot".....or the 401 or the Gardener at mid-day...etc..(as much as I hate it also) There's always the underground transit..... . ....and I use it faithfully when traveling "in city"...Just not your city....and that's because I live closer to "the construction cone city".........

I had a fun time and will likely go back again. Finished my nickel dollar set and picked up a few other things. The lighting isn't good but I found the venue was larger and more spaced out compared to the ONA show I went to in Kitchener. There was also food on site which was nice.
