Hello everyone,

Just thought I would post here the coins I have kept out of my change over the past year. Thought some of you might be interested to see what I got. The five pence in the middle of the first picture has the c and v filled in, also the 20 pence looks to me like the writing is offset a little. Thought since there low value I would keep onto them anyway. Would be interesting to see what others found in their change I guess.

Nice, some cool ones there :) I know they have little value but I also like to collect them. The Mint these days appears to be putting out some really shoddy coins.

Is that an old style 50p I see there? Last picture, bottom right.

Nice - I've been doing this for about a decade. I've got about £70 racked up!

cool :p, I like to collect them from the other british territories too when I get the chance, as you can see, from the falklands, isle of man pounds and other coins :p. I started collecting a long time ago but unfortunately spent it all as a kid, but now restarted again. shame really cause I had most of the 50 pence coins in good condition. Yes Bacchus 2, I have a 1980 and a 1969 50 pence coins. not sure but think there both the first and last issue maybe? well maybe the first, not sure about last. which is unusual because I though decimilisation came in 1971? oh well. oh maybe it was 1967? oh also got the old 5 pence coin in the first picture someone palmed off on me as a 10 pence, didn't mind though really. I tell people as a joke that my money went through the washing machine and increased in size and show them the two 50p's and the 5p :p

An interesting snapshot of what circulates. :)

I've never encountered a large 50p since they were "decommissioned" through daily commerce - though I saved a few.

Oh wow , those are real nice coins to come across in change :)

I am curious about the penny on the second row on the left, is that a weak strike ? What year is it from ?
