Coin Found In Collection, Need Help Identifying It.

On one side the image is fairly faded, but I could make out the name Charles on one side, and on the other side, a date, which looked to be in the 1600's, any help would be appreciated! I think the date looks like 1651, but can't be sure. And the other side is too worn for me to be sure on the particular state (other than that it probably isn't France itself).
