Me eyes are crooked from trying to look this coin over, but it was fun.

I'll attach a pic of the date. Feel free to chime in.

I was like HUMMMMM It looks like a repunch, but I wasn't sure until I put on the extra lens on the stereo microscope.

This coin had me laughing pretty hard when I put on the double magnification lens and looked at the 1964.... It looked indented. I had to check to see if I was still drinking straight soda.

I see Machine Doubling, but no mint mark?

When you look too closely, anything seems like something.

Its a 1964, no mint mark.

The coin presents the issue better than in the pictures. Imagine they make a six layer cake that reads 1964. Some one carefully picks up the top 3 layers and moves it slightly to the south and west. Some places on the coin show what appears to be areas that had no metal to cover up the restrike attempt. The top of the 4 is messed up pretty bad, it almost looks like a 4x4 post in the ground, and another one leaning on it at a 45 degree angle, there is no flat top area of the 4.

If I can get a little better picture, I'll post it here.

The coin was only struck once. The dies moved during the strike damaging the devices. This happens a lot. Some years even more often. (1968-1972) The on the SE edge of the 4 looks like a different type of damage. Looks like a coin mechanism or counter touched that area. Just a normal coin that is machine double and suffers circulation damage. Sorry
