When the GW dollars were issued earlier this year, I bought 3 rolls. Two of them are still unopened. I heard the Adams dollars are out now so I stopped in a bank this week and asked for two rolls, but they didn't have any. It occurred to me after I left the bank that if I buy 2 rolls of each dollar coin as they're issued and save them, I'll have approx $2000 worth of them when the series runs it's course. What the heck would I do with them? Probably end up bringing them back to a bank, depositing them, and get plenty of strange looks from the tellers. Strange, huh?

Or you could pick out the most mark free or error coins in all the rolls, submit them to PCGS, cash the rest back in and make more than $2,000.

I'm sure you would be able to sell them as unopened rolls on ebay and get more than face value.....just think of the possibility of there being a smooth edge in one of those rolls....people will pay more than face to find out if there is treasure in one of those rolls

I think it's more fun to spend them. And besides with ebay after all fees and such are done it's normally not worth the time spent.
