I wonder if someone could help me to discover more about this medal. The history of Maria Fugger and the Fugger family in general is fascinating. They rank among the wealthiest of the European Nobility and were instrumental in financing a number of Kings from 14th to 17th centuries. The only reference I can discover to this medal is a picture less description on the ANS website in the collection of Henry Grunthal and it was donated to them by him.
What I would hope to determine is more about this medal, how many were made and of course it's value.
I would be most grateful for your help. Photos attached
Kindest regards
