In 2008 I ordered From the mint 250 Dollars. After I checked every one. I didn't find any big error. But I keep some with DOUBLINGS. And Little problems in the edge-lettering. Last week I started checking MAGNET ATTRACTION AND WEIGHT. This one has 8.04 Grams and all dimension OK. But... The magnet can lift it. What you think?

The 4 Edge-lettering Pictures where taken with THE HELP OF THE MAGNET. Holding the coin "under" it. By his attraction.

How strong is the magnet? And will it lift any of your other dollar coins?

The standard composition is clad, with a manganese-bronze surface. A sufficiently strong magnet will attract a " War Nickel", made of a silver-copper-manganese composition.

I have to say, this piece looks plated. If it is ferromagnetic (much more strongly attracted to a magnet than any of your other dollars), then it would have to be either a wrong planchet or a counterfeit.

Just yesterday I found another dollar with the same "magnetic reaction". This is a Sacagawea 2000 P. Today I'll try to put pictures of the New find.
