My nephew from oversea comes to Canada to visit me this summer.

At first, I gave him 3 coins in the GITD Dinosaur series as gift. Then he asked if I have any box to display them all together.

I just came up with this idea. GITD Dinosaur series and Duck of Canada series box Crossover. :)

Coins fit well.

He is very happy .

Good idea, BiBo!

But this is actually strange:
Silver Duck 1/2 oz coin has 34 mm in diameter, while GITD coins - only 28 mm. (this is according RCM specifications). Is it possible, that in the capsules, both coins wil perfectly fit the hole?

Looks like, that the GITD coin has 35 mm, like other CuNi 25 cent coins - Bird Series, Duck Series.

@silveroid.

I do not know where you get the infomation that the dinosaur coin is 28 mm in size.

It does show on the Mint page that its size is 35mm.

Have a look at the Specifications for the 2012 GITD dinosaur on Mint page.

Have

I checked the specification on the RCM webpage.
There is a mistake appears there. For GITD 2 coin is mentioned 35mm, which is correct, but for the GITD 3:

Take a look at bottom: 28mm

Very nice, BIBO! Love these ideas for displaying different series in boxes that fit!

Do the COA's for the dinos fit in the duck call slot? If so, perhaps you could put the COA's in there instead? Just a thought...

What are you going to do when the 4th coin comes out? We must prepare ourselves when that day comes.

The COA fit well. It is the same size.

When the 4th coin comes, I will find him a new box for all 4.

Right now. Just make my little nephew happy with his gift.

The third is still available on the Mint site.

So maybe it'll be good to buy many of the 3-rd, since it's value will raise at least to $$ when the 4-th coin will be issued?

Sure, a dinosaur call. But, what would you do with the thing it attracts?

Adorus, you absolutely correct.
I just said, being ironic about this "pattern"

Looks like nothing repeats Mongolian series, or as we can see, only first coin in "innovative series" has some success.
