I know I have seen a few posts on this topic so I apologize if this seems repetitive. I was going to purchase on of these coins last week when they first were open for purchase. I saw the $1690 price and was thinking maybe gold would pull back a bit and I could get one from the mint cheaper. I went back to the page today and noticed they are only selling these until 9/5. The 2009 UHR had like a 110,000 mintage and the coins are holding their value. This could easily come in under that number. So, good investment coin? Look forward to the community's opinion.

It looks like it could be. Only time will tell but if I was going to take a chance on a gold coin this year that would be it

Check that...if I was buying 2 gold coins - this and the regular proof would be the ones I'd buy. I don't think you can lose with either of them this year. I still don't have the $3400 to buy the set....

I will warn you. I went with one of each and my track record is not good.

If gold moves above $1350 you can expect the purchase price to move to $1740. They adjust this one weekly.

I was thinking about holding off to see if gold would move back down. However, I didn't realize they were only doing a 30-day sale on the coin. I guess I better grab one before gold goes over $1350.

BUY BUY BUY this coin, buy as many as you can buy and buy as many as you can of the regular Buff... there will be collectors in the future wanting both.

I must have an old sheet. I show $1400 spot to get to $1790. Either way I'm happy I jumped in on both right away.

I'm sorry...$1350 gold = $1740 which is why I jumped today to buy one. If $1350 holds these will go to $1740 next week.

The sales have slowed down. Just over 31000 now with 20 days to go. If we get the price to move maybe we can keep the mintage down. I'm pulling for $1400+ gold next week.

Not as of now. Don't give them any ideas. There is the regular proof and the reverse proof.
