Hi guys,

I found this the other day, and with all the talk about the latest '42 nickel error I'm really wondering if anyone can help figure out what's going on with this.

It's 1942, but there is some big blurb of material directly over where the mint mark should be.

Any ideas?

Cheers!

Looks like part of a rim burr pressed on to the coin during the strike. The rim is reduced that area.
