I just got up from taking a nap, and before I did, the last dream I had, was where drug dealers and counterfeiters were making blue five-pointed star-shaped one cent "coins", and smaller red plastic five-pointed star-shaped Half Cent coins, and were circulating them, due to an outrage over the Royal Canadian Mint halting production of their one cent coins. So, on the bottom of the tv screen on the news channel, it said that, every 1 in 2 Canadians wanted their Canadian one cent coins brought back, so, the RCM was going to start producing one cent coins again in plastic BUT "round" one cent coins.

Isn't that weird? Wouldn't it be even weirder if it happened? I don't even know if Canada had a Half Cent coin like the U.S. did. Does anyone else here know if Canada had a Half Cent?

NOYE: Can a Mid here please fix my topic title? The first word was supposed to be "Plastic" Thanks.

Weird dream for sure! Canada never had any Half Cents, but the provence of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick had some for a couple of years.

Nova Scotia did have a 1/2 coin, according to this link,
http://grannyscoins.com/can12.htm
The Royal Canadian Mint never minted any, however.

Interesting dream. By the way, did you dream of seeing the counterfeit workers in people or just "on the news"?

It was all a story on tv (kind of like that "Fox News channel". I'm not sure if Canada gets the channel or not, so you might not know what I'm talking about), but star shaped coins...? Weird!

I just bought a poor Nova Scotia halfpenny today (one dollar, barely identifiable - sure).
