While browsing I came across a listing for roll of $12.50CAD face of 2013 half dollar coins. is it true only 15,000 of these coins were minted? Or is it 15,000 rolls produced?

That's only 37,500 coins.
How many more of them were produced for Unc. mint sets, proof sets, etc.?

Missing a 0 there sel_69l ;)... its 375,000

Not sure on the Specimen and Proof numbers... I think there is about 40000-60000 specimen coins (based on 2-3 sets).. and 40000 proof (based on 2 sets)... and not sure how many circulation sets have 50c pieces... I may be missing a set or 2 as well.

Colonial Acres Coins have them on sale for $24.95 right now. Shipping to USA is $12 if you spend over $100 and $15 if you spend under $100.

I bought one out of a roll for a dollar.

It irritates me that these are no longer circulation coins (what coin meant for real use is sold for more than it's worth?) - but I'll hunt through every bank in Edmonton if I have to until I find halves for face.

Then I'll spend them all. Maybe one day, people will start using them again.

Issue price for the roll was $25... so for $35 shipped it's not to bad.
