I've decided on a dedicated pocket piece. I got a 2011 silver Philharmonic for $35 (so impatient) a couple months ago and it had fingerprints (last one in stock, too)!! They had actually toned into the silver! I was so annoyed that I gave it a harsh cleaning, but nothing happened. So to get revenge, I'm wearing it down into a nice lowball. I wonder how the design will look in a few months?

Here it is four months later:

Canadian nickel and steel coins do wonders for pocket wear. I'm not good enough to grade it, but I noticed the violin strings were the first to go. First they smeared down and left scattered notches, but the notches gradually wore away as well. Now the strings on the violin proper are starting to wear down and smudge together. The strings on the small violins went much faster than the big violin (or maybe it's a cello - I don't know). On the organ, the women and cherubs are definitely starting to go as well.

I'm aiming for G - then I'll stop, maybe get it certified by ANACS, and start anew with a different silver bullion coin.

I have a 93 ASE I tote around in my pocket. It was pretty beat up when I got it and I used it to scratch off a lottery ticket and won $100. It is now my official lucky coin.

I also use it to enlighten non silver people on bullion and coins. Many times cashiers have inquired about it when I pulled it out with my other change.

I'm sure the ANACS folks will be perplexed at that one, nalaberong.
