Hello everyone!! Inventor719 Here! As some of you may know, I often think of different coin related inventions that I post here on coin community. This topic will be about my newest idea which I would love to hear your feedback and hopefully gain your interest.

My new idea is to design a new and popular copper round/coin series called "Iconic Firearms - Weapons that changed the world". Each 1oz AVDP round will feature an iconic firearm on the obverse with "Iconic Firearms - Weapons that changed the world" in the legend and the name of the weapon beside the picture of the gun. The reverse will have an image of the cartridge used in the "iconic firearm" and a few specifications to the right along with "1oz AVDP copper" below.

I am thinking of making this a 10 coin series unless it is more popular then I can design and produce more coins. The iconic firearms will not be in order from best to worst but, I think that I should do a very popular gun for my first design. Please vote using the poll below which firearm you would like to see on the first 1oz copper coin/round in the "Iconic Firearms - Weapons that changed the world" series. Also please comment with your opinion on my new copper coin idea. I have started to design the coin and I am ready to start the production hopefully later this month.

Iconic Firearms List (choose your #1)

1- Colt M1911
2- Glock 17
3- AK-47
4- M16
5- Barret M82
6- MP5
7- RPG-7
8- UZI
9- Thompson
10- .44 Magnum

Can't wait to hear your response!!!

I think the world of copper bullion already intersects uncomfortably close with the world of crazy people who stock-pile guns for the inevitable moment when the government collapses. How about a series of copper rounds with nice, non-objectionable, original, apolitical things on them? It would be essentially a first.

Even though I am not a huge Colt fan (I know, I know), I would still go with the Colt 1911 just because of how the 1911 has been a service pistol for so long and still remains a great weapon in the present day of some popular new designs such as Glock. Just my idea though. you have some other great firearms on there as well. You know you can do an actual clicking poll as well right?

No 357 or 38 Special?
No Beretta 92?
No M1 Garand? This one is quite historically significant.

1911 and AK47 are the icons. They still serve and protect.

Out of the ones listed Id go with the Thompson or the 1911 for what Id like to see. For a historical weapons that changed the world though I would start the series off with the Kentucky Long Rifle that won America its independence and had the greatest impact on North America.

The UZI is the clear choice in my opinion. You make a big splash with it.

However, I don't like the idea. It's too Franklin Mintish. I think it needs a message people can identify with. Otherwise it is just a commemorative piece. Guns are popular now, so you should be bale to sell some.

Thanks everyone for the great advice and ideas!! If anyone has any more advice or recommendations I am open to ideas. So far, I am thinking of doing either the 1911, UZI or AK47.

Between those three the 1911 would likely generate the most sales
